Leave a Legacy

Your planned gift allows you to obtain a small piece of immortality for you and your loved ones. It also allows the Shasta Library Foundation to provide resources for library books and materials today and for generations to come. Please contact the Shasta Library Foundation or your financial or tax advisor about your planned gift options.

• A bequest is a gift made through your will or trust.
• Charitable bequests may be deducted from your total estate and could lower the amount of estate taxes that are due.
• An estate of any size may leave a legacy.

Your bequest may be designated as:

• a specific dollar amount or description of property
• a percentage of your estate
• the residual of your assets after all other specific bequests have been satisfied
• a contingent bequest to take effect only if those named as primary beneficiaries predecease you.

Donors who leave a bequest to the Shasta Library Foundation are permanently recognized on the Legacy Society Donor wall in the Foundation Room at the Redding Library.
