The Libraries We Support

We have three beautiful branches located in Shasta County: Redding, Anderson, and Burney.

Redding Library

The new Redding Library opened on March 3, 2007. Its construction was the results of a grass roots local fundraising effort, “New Library Now!” and funding from the State Library Construction and Bond Renovation Act. The Redding Library serves as the headquarters for the Shasta Public Libraries system and offers a full range of library services.

Monday – Thursday 10 am – 8 pm
Friday – Saturday 10 am – 6 pm
Sunday 1 pm – 5 pm

Anderson Library

The Anderson Library offers a full range of library services and products. A dedicated staff of volunteers is an integral part of the library team. The Anderson Library provides a community meeting room, public computers, wireless Internet access, a Friends of the Library bookstore, library tours, and weekly story time.

Saturday 10 am – 2 pm

Burney Library

The Burney Library opened in 1949, the first of the Shasta County Library branches. The current location was built in 1969 and serves the entire Intermountain area from Montgomery Creek and Round Mountain to Hat Creek and Oak Run and east to Fall River and McArthur.

The Burney Library offers a full range of library services and products including public access computers, wireless Internet access, reference section, a vast collection of videos and DVDs and a well-stocked new books area.
